Through responsible innovation, we want to strengthen Reitan Retail's long-term competitiveness and contribute to a more responsible society.

What do we do?

Reitan Retail Innovation's mandate is to develop solutions that reduce emissions and help us achieve our responsibility targets. We follow a structured innovation process, from research to concept, piloting and commercialisation.

We work closely with all of Reitan Retail's business areas, research communities nationally and internationally, and other companies that share our ambition to make everyday life a little easier and the world a little better.

Why do we do it?

Reitan Retail will achieve climate neutrality in its own operations (Scope 1 and 2) by 2030 and reduce Scope 3 emissions in the value chain by at least 43 percent from 2022 levels. The long-term goal is net zero by 2050. This work is anchored in Reitan Retail's goals and ambitions.

Major emission cuts require transformed value chains with new raw materials and low-emission products, new production methods in agriculture, renewable energy sources and circular solutions.

Reitan Retail Innovation will help close the gap between current measures and plans, and the ambitions we have set, by developing the next generation of products and services.
